everything is better with your head in the sand ofcourse. If there was no such thing as a threat overseas I wouldnt care. but the reality is there is a threat and if Kerry won things would be SO MUCH WORSE.

Definately, I don't agree with mr. Bush's predisency but i am positive he would've been re-elected. After reading about 2004's election, i went and did some election. I found out that the people's votes really didn't matter. It all depended on a word that began with e (I researched this two years ago and forgot this word). The only reason President Bush was relected was because, the flordian member of the E-word voted for him, all because of Mr.Bush's brother, he would've won. However, i can only wish New York's votes counted for more, New York (my home) bein a democratic state would definately vote for Al Gore and John Kerry, no wonder so many New Yorkers moved out of the country when, Mr. Bush was elected to serve a second term in office.

You question assumes that George W. Bush was actually elected in the 2000 and 2004 elections. There are a number of election irregularities in both elections. You should really check out the source pages of both of these Wiki articles that link to news sites like CNN and Fox news that document all the problems.

However, in terms of public perception, 9/11 helped a great deal in re-selecting Dubya because that was his campaign plank. All that was seen or heard at the Republican convention was 9/11, 9/11, 9/11, or terrorist, terrorist, terrorist. I highly recommend taking a look at the sources in the Wiki articles regarding 2000 and 2004 election irregularities.

He's been so incompetent in his response to 9/11 that he may have gotten away with being incompetent without it. He pulled off cheap and showy victories against the Taliban and the Iraqi army, but cut and run at Tora Bora and has failed to stop the dozens of terrorist massacres all over the world that he expects to be on our side.

We have become sheepish, self-hating peasants worshipping the upper-class's right to run our lives and treat us like dirt. So the Bush cult infected America long before 9/11.

No way. Before 9-11 he was the biggest joke of a "President"
He milked that for all it was worth. It is a useless point to make, 9-11 happened because he was President, so there was no chance of that not happening.

No. He was already several months into a do-nothing presidency, and his only accomplishment was pretending like the surplus hadn't disappeared so he could lie about why he wanted tax cuts.

Absolutely NOT! He turned 9-11 into a total propagada event for himself, he played hero as usual (another "Mission Accomplished" stunt) while Rudy Giuliani was the one who had the guts to stand in front of the TV cameras and make us feel like they were going to survive this!

Excellent point! It's extremely doubtful; however, John Kerry would have managed to put his foot in his mouth regardless and somehow lose the election.
