i been thinking i'm bi cause for the past year and a half, i've been really attracted to both sexes... and i find it more pleasing to make out with a girl than a guy.. i really dunno if i'm bi or just going thru a phase! and if i was, its really hard to tell my mom cuz i've been droppin hints sayin stuff like "yea my friend just came out and said she was bisexual..." and my mom's reaction was like "ok as long as ure not bisexual then im ok" so im really afraid to tell her the news if its true that i AM bi.

Don't stress about it. Unless you get into a girl/girl relationship, it's probably not imperative to tell your parents until you are sure. I thought I was going through a phase, too, but after a couple years a figured out I wasn't. You will eventually figure it out, as long as you don't obsess about it, and just listen to your heart (cheesy, I know, but true).

Have you read anything on bisexuality? There are online support groups. Check out www.biresources.com.

It doesn't matter if it is a phase or not, IMO. You may discover that you are not or you may discover that you are. They are only labels. The most important thing is that you are happy and comfortable with who you are.

Why are you in a rush to tell your mother? I am NOT saying you shouldn't tell her I'm just asking what is the rush? Is there a counselor you can talk with?

Check out that site and try to find a support group whether in person or online. And when you are ready and have talked to someone who can help you find the best way to tell her it will be easier.

Be good to yourself okay and be safe. :)

p/s yes, I am bi. :)

You should not be scared to discuss with your mom, but tell me one thing: is it really necessary, especially if you haven’t answered the question to yourself yet? Since your mother is so negative to the idea, is there any reason to cause frustration? I also would like to tell you that labels are for canned food not for people. Today you may feel affection for a person of the same sex, tomorrow you may fall in love with somebody of the opposite sex and spend many, many happy years with him. Stop worrying and enjoy your sexual life with some discreteness, until you are sure enough that you need to make such a statement.

You can relax about telling your parents, just cross that bridge when you get there. Also you seem to be going through the same thing I went through when I discovered my sexuality and if you are anything like me then it's not gonna pass so you just have to accept it.

Don't let your mom stop you from having a love life though, be with who you want to be with and if it does happen to b someone of the same sex then, well it'd be time to cross that bridge. Just be strong and let her know that who you date is your choice and while you respect her opinion she is not going to stop you. Surprisingly crying and begging doesn't work as well as people would hope.

You should not be scared to talk about it with your mom, as long as you are able to properly express your feelings. Of course, only you can know for sure what feelings you are having about sexuality. Many people do things because the people they are hanging out with are doing them. Others do it because it is a feeling they have inside. Good luck.
