There's no such thing as "track field," per se, but I imagine that you are talking about a standard track which encircles a football field. Those are usually 1/4 mile per lap, so you would've run 1 1/4 miles.

A standard track will be exactly 1/4 or .25 of a mile, therefore 5 laps would equal 1 mile and 1/4.
