Since marraige rights are given by the STATE (inheritance, taxation, etc.), religion should have no say in marriage rights adn they should be equal to all.

Discriminating in terms of gender and/or sexual orientation should be illegal, since it creates a situation of "separate but equal even if "civil unions" get approved. Of course, the Supreme Court has already struck down "separate but equal" many years ago, so why is there still debate on this subject?

Some "Christians" who rail against same-sex marriage out of one side of their mouths, and then say "LGBT people never have long term relationships" out of the other, are truly vicious hypocrites.

I don't think it should be legal. Marriage means man and woman.
If it's a question of civil unions that might be different. Marriage is such a traditional thing. I don't believe it will ever be totally accepted in the US.

Marriages of same-gender homosexuals are wrong. Marriage is defined as a union between one man and one woman and it was ordained of God for specific reasons.

I think that they are no different than "straight" marriages.

everyone should be able to marry whomever they choose, whether it's a cow, turkey, fox, dog, alien, or cat. it doesn't matter, as long as we love that being.

If Adam and Eve were gay and lesbian would we be here today? If they chose to be gay/lesbian God would have to destroy them and create other who can do the job which is to fill the earth.
Gay people will be surprised when God asks them for their wife and their own children.
