I've already shared with you my views on this matter. Would you be surprised if I told you they haven't changed since this morning? Eating commercially raised cattle, pigs, etc is bad for them and worse for us. They have their final revenge when we die of atherosclerotic heart disease. Oh well, what goes around comes around as they say.

I am too underweight to give up meat entirely. Most of us do not want to know what happens to the poor animals before they're on our plate. It's like thinking about how much pollution we are individually responsible for. Most people don't have the option to walk everywhere they go, so they have to travel by car.
Most people find that an easy, inexpensive, palatable way to take in protein necessary to our health is through eating hamburgers, hot dogs, ham, or whatever is on sale in the deli. It's not like meat is the greatest tasting, most humane thing to eat at dinner, but for the time being, people will eat it until God brings things back to the way he intended life to be in the garden of Eden- people and animals living together in peace.

No. I KNOW how they're "mistreated," but meat for a lot of people is considered essential in a daily diet. In the end, I couldn't live without eating meat, and I know that sounds bad, but that's really how it is. What I do NOT condone is killing animals for pure game or for fur. If it is for sustenance, then I consider it fine.

Sorry but no I would not. I eat meat, and I always will. I'd prefer not to see how the animals get slaughtered. I wish people would think about the way humans are getting mistreated other than animals in my opinion. No offense.

I have, but I am borderline anemic and have a health issue that makes taking iron suppliments not an option. I have to eat meat in order to get the necessary amount of iron.
I also don't really feel bad, except for when it comes to certain animals. (For instance, I won't eat veal.) Their treatment will not change just because I refuse to eat meat. Either someone else will eat my share, or the meat will be left to rot. One of my best friends is a vegetarian and I completely respect it and always am sure to plan our meals around it. She doesn't have a problem with others eating meat, either...that's my real issue with many vegetarians; they try to guilt trip us.

I wouldn't reconsider eating meat, but that is a sad subject. I would stop the mistreatment if I had the power to, though.

If I knew more about the way animals are treated, I would become more insistent that humans deserve to be treated the same way.

It's all part of the circle of life. I believe God put animals here to provide for us, just as he put vegetation on the earth to feed the animals and gave the flowers pollen to feed the bees...
