Yep, I suppose, if Christianity is considered a Western Ideal. I wouldn't die for my own freedom but I would die for my friend's and family's freedom.

Oh and justsyd, you do have a lot of western ideas, like freedom to spew anti-american words on this site. In Islam, you would wear a burka, pray to allah 5 times a day, be beaten by your husband 3 times a week. So don't say you aren't western.

The correct answer to your question is that it is always smarter to live another day, which gives you the opportunity to challenge and change the ideological bent of the individuals that are trying to change YOU.
If that involves saying "ok, fine" for today, why not? Then you wack the guy tomorrow, making him give up HIS ideals for yours. Senseless, is it not?

Who and what army is going to behead me? My "western ideals" include keeping and bearing arms and lots of them.
Any "muslim extremist" who tries to behead one of my country men with range of mine gun will promptly become swiss cheese....Have a nice day :)
