definitely is ok to wear any colors now-it used to be no white after labor day, who knows why, i think it's stupid. I think it might be because you want to match the season??

The theory behind dark colors in cold climates is that the darker colors absorb light and retain heat thereby keeping you warmer. White and light colors reflect the light and you feel cooler.
Of course you can wear white in the winter. Not a bright white though...too glaring. To me, a winter white coat is a welcome sight when worn with a beautiful bright sweater or scarf! But, I wear any color I want whenever I want. I'm such a rebel that I even wear off-white boots after Labor Day! LOL
Enjoy that new jacket!

uh YEAH!! you were what ever the hell you want to wear. It just may appear that way because most people associate light colors with lighter fabrics which are usually reserved for the spring and summer months. But if you've got a rockin pink sweater or some GAWgeous light colored pants, by all means, girl, WORK IT! White jackets, I.M.O (in my opinion) look absolutely fab in the winter time. Pair them with a pair of fitted jeans and some really cute knee high boots and you'll look great. Good luck.

Yes, white and creams look great in the winter, although a splash of colour helps to carry it off. I would add colour through a handbag and shoes or a scarf. (oops didn't see bit about pink top) Go for it.

Yeah. It's perfectly fine. No rule that says you can't. Of course you'll be a little colder than others who wear darker clothes. But, this is what you want to wear, not someone else.

Winter is the depressing season! People dress to match their mood i guess. So you should too. Wear those bright colours and show the world what a happy soul you are!

It is, but people may wear dark clothes because they absorb heat better so it keeps them warmer. Whereas, white/lighter colours are better for summer, because they reflect heat and so keep you cooler.
