The hair DOES help keep the area cool. It allows air to circulate, and the sweat evaporates, keeping you cooler and drier. Don't shave - you'll get zits and rashes and bumps and look like a holdover from the 1990s. Nobody cool does that anymore.

Normally alll persons' testicles are hairy. It is normal.Testicles contain sperms.Temperature increase /fluctuations destory sperms or its mobility. The hairs and creases in sac is a sort of insulation for the contents. Some people clean shave testicle sac and even the full surrounding area of penis. It may be hygenic but
there is no idea as to whether shaving is harmful or not.

scrotal hair purposes:
1. to decorate them - though if you have a lot of long scraggly hair, this purpose may require some assistance from scissors or razor
2. to keep them protected from the cold of winter and the intense sun of summer - more relevant back in olden times when we lived in caves and ran around naked especially since we seem to have (or at least most of us have) lost the vast volume of body hair we were once endowed with a few hundred generations ago.
3. to irritate anyone who likes to lick and suck this area on a guy but who hates getting hair in their mouth. Actually it gets pretty irritatiing for th eperson receiving too since the giver has to stop periodically and remove the odd loose one from their mouth; sort of interrupts the rythym.
4. to be there so you can have some fun every day or three shaving your scrotum. Or better yet so your partner can shave it for you.
5. to get caught in your underwear or if you are a commando type to get caught in your zipper.
6. to give someoen an extra place to grap when they threaten your short and curlies.
7. To prove your real hair colour in case you dye the stuff on your head different colours often.
8. to make people wonder why we have hair there since we shave it or trim it or find it disgusting or otherwise undesirable and wish we didn't have it.

the idea is to keep them 98.7
the scrodum retracts to keep warm. I think the hair evolved more from stuff getting stuck on the body and growing bacteria near our "sacred" parts. If anything gets stuck it will fall off the body with the hair.

I like to braid or plait my testicle hair. It looks much nicer than shaving it all off.

what's the idea to keep them cool for?
i think the hair there is like the hair anywhere else. pubic hair doesn't keep your little junior warm right? if anything id say its to absorb moisture. if anything.
but nothing relating to whats internal like semen

I shave my hubbys balls and all the surrounding area for him....he loves it. He says it makes his dick look bigger and it actually does. Every man out there should be getting this done. Anyway good luck with finding the answer.
