Well, I have ordered a strobe package online as well as a switchbox, and after e-mailing galls.com, they told me a metal console to put in between the driver and passenger would NOT fit unfortunately. I can work around that. However, how would I get something custom made to fit my Taurus since the majority are made for Dodge Chargers and Vics? Also what could I do to my engine to get as much power as possible from a 3.0 v6? I don't wanna tinker with it too much to take the chance of messing it up, but I do want more power although it has a ton already believe it or not. Just looking for more GO from start rather then speed.

You can either add a supercharger or a bottle of nitrous for that kick :)

Convert a Mustang into a cop car, that would be HOT. Want more power? Drop a V8 into it. Wanting GO from the start means you want high gear ratio in the rear. If you want GO from the start line you want 411s. 411s can't keep up speed though without tacing high RMPs which will hold you back in the top end.

If you want to keep up with others you would want low gears. I have 272s in my Mustang, it has a 5.0 motor. It isn't too fast off the line but it's a top end animal! At 55 it tacs 1500. It's barely showing its power. I can do 60 all day and it won't break a sweat.

That's just my take on it. If you really want to keep the Tarus, did you ever consider a SHO package for it? Or just getting a SHO Tarus? A Mustang or a Crown Vic would be bitchin'. Is this going to be a drag racing car? Good Luck!

The only way to really give it more 'off the line' power is to change the cam and/or cam timing, maybe the exhaust and the final drive ratio.
Since you don't want to 'mess with it' you're out of luck.

So, trade it for a Crown Vic...
Now that you have a cop car, we can discuss making it GO.

Just trying to be cool or are you gonna use it off duty for something? www.galls.com helps, id go ahead and sell the taurus and buy a police interceptor crown vic, or get the new dodge charger police package.

They don't make a cage for a Taurus, since they don't use them as police cars usually. Unless you are an on duty police officer, be careful what you do to your personal vehicle, or you may find yourself in jail for impersonating a police officer.
