XBOX 360 question?

Question

I just bought my husband an XBOX 360. It is the one with the hard-drive and I was told it was the hard-drive that allowed you to play both XBOX games and 360 games. However, one of the games I got him, won't allow him to play, it is an original XBOX game. Does anyone know why or what we can do to fix this?

Also, what are some good games to get for him. He isn't into any of the sports games much!!

This is because not all of the original xbox games are backwards compatible yet. I almost traded in my xbox for the 360, until I found out that more than half my xbox games wouldn't work yet. Here is the xbox website for more info :http://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/backwardcompatibilitygameslist.htm
Also, i found that that there is no way yet to transfer your xbox save games to your 360 as of yet. Kind of a bummer.
As far as games that look fun, "Gears of War", "Dead Rising", "Oblivion" in my opinion.

What game is he trying to play? The XBox 360 only has a limited library of regular XBox games it is backwards compatible with. If he's not into sports I've included a link to Best Buy with the top 10 selling XBox games. Gears of War and Halo 3 are for sure can't misses with your XBox 360 library.

Sometimes you will have to update the 360 so you can play more original Xbox games. Not all Xbox games work on 360 you will need to update the 360 off of Xbox Live or go to Xbox.com so they can send you a disk for the the update.

Not all original XBOX games are compatable with the 360. I dont know if they all will ever be compatable. As for good games, I love the poker one and gears of war. I bought the 360 for my boyfriend last year and until a couple of months ago, I played more than him. Other games that are good are on the XBOX live Marketplace and they are free!
