Why don't you trust your doctor? Do you think a group of strangers that have never even met you can be better at diagnosing this?

If you're concerned, call her and ask. That's why she's caring for you and your baby.

Try to take it easy and not stress too much. Get your rest, take your vitamins, eat well, etc.

Good luck hon! Have a happy, healthy pregnancy and baby!

My baby was very low about the same time, and I dilated around 34 weeks to 2 cm and I carried her to 38 weeks. It's very possible to dilate and still go full term. I think you'll be fine.

If you haven't been put on bedrest then I'm sure it's nothing to be too concerned about. Just make sure you know all the signs of early labor.

babies start to drop around that time. It is the normal progression of things. My baby was low around 34 weeks. She wasnt born until 40 weeks. I dilated about a month before she was born also. You can be dilated for awhile and not be in labor. I am sure everything is fine

Kelly, first time labor, the baby usually drops into position a few weeks in advance. The good news is that if the baby is in position, the labor will be an easier one and you are less likely to need a c-section.

But just remember this when you go into labor. Can you deal with anything, no matter how bad if you know it will be over with in a few seconds? When you go into labor, just take the contractions, one...at...a...time. You just need to get through that contraction. You can do it. And that logic helped me through my second child's labor with a lot less pain medication. And the good news is that you will do just fine!!

I was dilated 4cm and fully effaced for over a month past my daughter's due date. Finally at 11 months, they broke my water and induced for the 6th time. it finally worked!

Every experience is going to be different, so it's really hard to say.
