I've turned 20 few months ago, and i feel kind of old , why do i feel like this, it's because im not a teen anymore? , sometimes i tell myself come on just look back 10 years ago ( which i dont think its a lot of time), i was just a little kid how could i be old? , but just to say "Im in my 20s" makes me feel kind of old, did you feel similar when you turned 20? , share your thoughts , and what's this decade about, is it different before 25 and after 25? , can i still do teen-like stuff without looking out of place? , do you think is like a teenage legal version of life because you become legal? , cause i wish it were like that.

I had that same exact experience a couple years ago. You probably looked back when you were a kid, and now you look at yourself. You must have really matured since you were a kid. But, you got to realize - you're still young. After all, you can't really drink alchohol (yet). Well, legally anways. I'd say, wait til you are 30 or 40. After all, that's when most of the older folks feel the "midlife crisis"! You are just feeling the "back in the day" thing. Keep on partyin'! That's the only way you won't feel old.

Just wait until your 28. 30 is right around the bend.
It's the end of your teen years, your not quite 21, and ready to go out booze hounding (legally anyhow) it's an in between what should I be doing right about now phase... the high school stuff is done, and the college stuff is just beginning... When you look back in 8 years, you won't believe how young you were, and feel old at that point.

Honestly, 20 isn't that different than your late teens. Once you turn 21 the party begins! You are still finding yourself in your twenties and still go out and have a lot of fun. But now you have a job (and hopefully don't still live at home). You make the transition from child to adult in this decade. I'm almost 30 and sometimes I feel old too!

Sadly TV and all the comercials are geering for the 12 to 18 yr old age bracket. So its common not to feel like you have a place once in your 20s. Especially the first part. But once you get old enough, 21 or up, you actually experience your life in better ways. You can express yourself without following trends you might of been a slave to in High school. You find little out of the way places like bars or bistros to eat and have a few drinks in. The world opens up to you but you are definitely in an awkward age right now. Old enough to kill for your country but not old enough to buy a beer or get into the good clubs. life is hilarious.

retrospection... When you're were 10, did you consider some one old at 20? That little boy is probably handing you your walker right about now. :)

Don't worry, it's something we all go through. Or you could be like me. I didn't grow up until 30. I have alot of damage for fix.

Good luck and best wishes.

You really have two choices in life, you can grow older or die. Personally I think the growing older option is the better of the two. At 20 you should be coming to terms with not being a minor child under the control of others and of taking responsibility for your own decisions and your own life.

Take it from someone who wasted too much of his own life thinking that same way. It's a complete waste of time. Get out there and live your life , and don't worry about insignificant things like your age . You're responding to external expectations about how to live your life, and where you should be in life at a given point. A complete and total waste of time. Live your life while you can. Peace.

You are obsessing a little, not an unusual thing.
But it sort of hinders fun.
I'm 57, and if I wanna be silly, I'm silly!
If you want to do something, meet someone, accomplish something - just start heading for it. That is how you meet the most interesting people!
Enjoy your age - it's the present - the only time any of us really have!!!
