Levin and Pelosi, as well as nearly all democrats asked has already attacked the idea of even a draft proposal from Rangel. So did Duncan Hunter a republican. There is no way in hell it can pass. The good thing is, the same thing will happen if Rangel does propose higher taxes.

While I believe we are undermanned, I don't think of the Iraq war as a question of nationality. This is a crooked war and we all know it. I can speak for many by saying I am not eager to die for a war I don't believe in.

Look I think if there was a draft alot of people in power would not be so fast to put troops in the trenches. It would also ensure that everybody did their duty to their nation. I dont want it but it would keep a standing army in times of peace . And the priveliged who make these decisions also have to live by them if they got kids to.

yeah i want a draft.
i'm against the war, but if there was a draft maybe all those crazyies would realize that the bush's polocies affect there life.
and guess what the draft no longer excludes college students. so maybe those rich neocons would change there mind after there sons and daughters start comeing home in bodie bags

The Military does not want a draft, because it would mean a much lower class of people in service.
