I am 10 weeks pregnant and I have all day sickness. My nausea is so bad i cant hold down any food and the only drink I can hold down is sprite. My doctor said as long as i can hold down fluids i'm fine but i feel bad. My dr. also said that around 12 weeks it should start to subside some. At what point in your pregnancy did yours get better? Its hard to enjoy being pregnant when you feel so bad.

Ugh. I had all day sickness, everyday for about 5 months. It sucked. I couldn't hold anything down, and I always got sick if I got in the car. I drank ginger ale and it helped a lot. Also try sucking on some hard candys, like jolly ranchers, and try some mints. I got the life saver mints and they really do work miracles. I was hesitant at first to try them, a lot of people told me too, but they really do work. After that I was able to keep some food down. Hopefully it gets better for you :) It's worth it just remember that

Mine lasted a long time too. It started about 10 wks and lasted all day. Eventually, it would get later and later before I'd start to feel sick. It lasted for 18-20 wks. I'm only 7wks now, and I'm starting to feel sick already. It's only in the morning though and it isn't that bad. I haven't been to the toilet yet. Hopefully this is going to go alot better. Good luck and feel better.

Try Mints for gagging,
and Vicks vapor rub when smells bother.
Cinnamon gum (works sometimes).
club crackers and cheese for a snack.
Peanut butter crackers. PB has protein. I've heard that helps.
Beef Jerky.

the sickness usually is a sign of water deficiency and by drinking sprite you can only make it worse with all the sugar..and also is not good for the development of the baby..
try to drink at least 2 ltrs of water a day also have a lot of fruit and vegetables.

i'm at 8 weeks right now, and since week 5, have felt sick all day as well. I went to the clinic and they gave me a prescription for Diclectin, and since then i have been able to at least eat semi-normally. Perhaps a second opinion might be good to get. I sure empathize with your last statement....

well when I was pregnet I was the same way and lost 40 pounds in my first 2 1/2 months but yes it will go away, right now you probably think it will never end but it will, crackers somtimes helps. But when that part goes away then it'll be fun, good luck and congrats

Hi, I cant remember the name but there is something your doctor can give you. if you cant hold anything down including fluids then you need to see your ob right away. when you are pregnant you cant get dehydrated.

I was sick for 20 weeks, but it got less and less as the time went on. You doctor is right, just take it easy and eat what you can.
