You're joking, right? The Habs are stuck treading water. It's not like Roy is going to come back and lead another mediocre '86 or '93 squad to the Cup. Huet is great but when Gainey keeps signing smurfs like Samsonov instead of a hulking goon to protect Koivu, sorry, unless they unearth the next Robinson-Savard-Lapointe troika, the Habs are going to challenge the Laffs for Cup droughts.

The Canadiens have no chance because if they make it past powerhouses like Anaheim and Buffalo, Colombus who is making a playoff run will murder the Canadiens.

if they can go in the playoffs on a good note and with one of are goalies in Huet or Aebischer start to play more consistent then we have a great shot at winning this years Stanley cup. Every year for the past 5 that we were in the playoffs we missed that key element in the playoffs, the one year when Theodore was hot so was Zednik but Mclearen took him out and that really hurt the Habs chances. then last year we had the hottest goalie going in and he was great for us yes Huet but then you can't forget what Williams did to Koivu and that really hurt us as well. but like I said within the next 4 years we will win the Stanley Cup are team the Habs are on the right track.

They won't and no original 6 team will for a while because the NHL commisioner, Gary Bettman wants to promote Hockey in the Southern US. So count on some goofy A** Southern team like Atlanta or Nashville winning it.

Montreal would be lucky to even make the playoffs. Buffalo is going to win the NorthEast Division. If Montreal does make the playoffs, they probably would get the 7th otr 8th seed, and will likey face Buffalo or SouthEast division champs Carolina. I think either will sweep Montreal in the 1st round.

Probably not. I cant make any predictions yet with all the changes in the rosters. How well will they play? Ask again after a month or two.

Granted, my Flyers couldn't beat my old high schools' current team, but I can't see the Habs winning it this year. Of all the Canadian teams, I think the Leafs have looked the strongest so far.

Hab's are not going to win it, closest thing to a Canadian team winning it will be the Sabres (its a joke I know Buffalo is in the US)
