Its called Hype. They will release more and more teasers to get you excited about the film. Then, when its finally out, everyone goes flocking to the cinema to see it. That way, they make a huge amount of money within the first two days, and it doesn't matter if the film is rubbish.
The trailers for Casino Royale were first shown at the beginning of this year.
It's a sure way for the film companies to make large amounts of money.

because society is getting obsessed with stuff and they know they can brainwash the masses if they show it to you enough times it will make you remember it more and therefore you will think of it when you are trying to think of a film to go see.
Greed on the part of the executives in charge of marketing

Ha, and like the way that Rockstar announced Grand Theft Auto IV two years before it comes out, lol

to keep us on the edge of our seats just waiting for it to come out, like with the 360 games f.e.a.r. and gears of war they advertised it like when the 360 came out, they want us to watch it, plus the animators are working hard, for a 90 minute movie........ and trying to give it a plot. more than just a half hour t.v. show... okkkk that was pretty much pointless
