My husband has always been a rather goofy guy and I love that but he acts like a child sometimes and it drives me crazy. When we get in arguments, he acts like a child by sticking his tounge out at me or saying "la la la la la" really loud while I'm trying to talk or if I say something he doesn't like then he will throw a fit, like a child...literally. I want to hit him with a pillow but that's not going to solve the problem. What are some effective ways to stop this childish behavior? FYI, He didn't really act this way until we moved in together. Any advice, ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

You need to talk to him on a serious tip and let him know how you feel and tell him that it is time to change cause it is not cute any more and that you love him and that if there is something you need to change you would for him cause that is what marriage is about.

He is avoiding the issue by being this way . He doesn't want to face the problems. You need to talk to him no matter how he acts. Let him know you don't think he is cute by acting like a child.

Two Suggestions:

1) Put him in "Time-Out" for 15 minutes until he is ready to act like an adult.

2) Send him to bed without any dinner and let him think about it on an empty belly overnight.

and I thaught my man was bad! try explaining to him during a time when you are not in a fight, how the tounge thing bothers you and doesn't resolve anything, so you will not tolerate it anymore and if you have an argument you need to talk it out.

then the next time he sticks his tounge out, announce to him that you will not talk to him untill he is ready to reason with you like an adult... then walk away. stick to your guns, in time he should calmn down and be able to keep his tounge in his mouth... ha ha

I believe he wanted a mother not a wife. Tell him if he does not begin to act like an adult male that you are going to find a real man to take his place. If you want to e-mail me and we can talk.

Tell him it turns you off sexually when he acts like a kid and not a man. That will do it. But be careful, maybe this is just how he is and you need to learn to love this about him.

Five year olds don't have sex. He wants to act like one, treat him like one. After a few weeks of going sex-less, maybe he will decide he wants to be a big boy. LOL at Johnny Bravo.

That's a hard one. Most likely you married an immature man and I don't think there's anything you can do about it. Best just leave it up to the professionals to help him.

Apparently he has a 3 year old's capacity for confrontation. I doubt seriously this will change.

Adults don't change other adult's behaviors, we accept them or move on......
