It's a good idea to erase your tracks when using a computer, especially if it's a public computer. There are a couple ways to do it. First, from Internet Explorer, go to Tools / Internet Options / General. From that tab, you can clear your history with the Clear History button. You can also delete cookies.

But you have to understand that this doesn't completely erase your tracks. There are still temp files, tons of files in the /Temporary Internet Files/ path, etc. You may have to purchase a third party product like...

... to purge all that stuff. Good luck!

The easiest way I know is to go to your tools menu, and make sure the tab labeled "General" is showing, then in the middle you will see where it says "delete cookies" click on it. You will also notice where it says to delete files, which will take care of the temporary Internet files your computer stores, this won't effect anything other than the pages you have visited on the web. Also look and see where it says "Days to keep files in history" you can choose how many days the computer will store them. I choose 0 because I don't want any stored.
