I have a better Idea (like Ford) Get a new sweat shirt,in the color you like the best, I found some at Sears, that even have printed designs on them, and the sweat pants have two pockets! Now you know that is an accomplishment, right!!! Keep wearing that one in class, and do not spend money or time trying to clean the stain, but work around it and paint some flower or design on it. The new ones were inexpensive, and they will get to be you favorites in time.

Some of the solvents mentioned above may work on part of the stain. Some of it depends on what components are in the ink.

The other thing to consider is the fabric - what's it made out of? Cotton is pretty sturdy, but some solvents may melt/degrade polyester blends.

I've had good luck with getting ballpoint pen and gel pen inks out of nylon clothing (which is sensitive to a lot of solvents I think). I used 91% isopropyl alcohol. Regular rubbing alcohol is 70% and doesn't work anywhere near as well. Look for the high strength alcohol at you local drug store, or get some Everclear from your liquor store. Either of those liquids can be used for other things too.

But when all is said and done - getting a new sweathshirt doesn't sound like a bad idea, especially if the ink is "all over" the shirt. :-)

Quick, reach for Dawn liquid dish detergent. It is one of the best grease cutters going. Let it work a bit and then rinse out to test how much was removed.

Then pretreat witha laundry pretreater or full strength liquid detergent, wash as usual..........BUT DON'T PUT IN DRYER! The heat will set the stain.

Then retreat with powdered bleach, let sit a bit , wash and pray.

you do no longer say what form of pen yet I certainly are becoming to be rid of everlasting marker by utilising utilising first heat water and cleansing soap observed by utilising minty toothpaste. have self belief it or no longer it worked, only confirm you do no longer rub too problematical. stable success, wish it paintings.
