Witchcraft is not a religion! You do NOT have to be Wiccan to practice witchcraft! With that said, there are many types of magic that are forbidden in the bible, such as sorcery, trafficking in spirits, divination, poisoning, even ledger demain. However there is one form of magic that is not taboo in the christian faith. That type of magic is Theurgy, a type of magic in which you invoke the power of the divine and direct that power to accopmlish goals & aspirations. A common form of theurgy is prayer, also healing circles, some pentacostal practices use a ritualized practice of theurgy which often results in strange occurances such as speaking in tounges, trance possession by the holy spirit, even siezure like activity. This is all theurgy. Witches use theurgy too, you dont have to "worship nature" to be a witch, you can worship or work with whom ever you want, to be honest! Including the Christian God, Jesus, Mary< the saints, pagan gods, ancestors, land deva's or land wights, what have you. Theurgy invokes the power of the divine force,
however you percive it. If your perception of divinty is JHVH, or Jesus then you can practice theurgy and still remain a faithful christan. You commit no sin in that aspect. If you wish to practice other forms of magic that are taboo in the bible then confess your sins, do your penance, or simply ask God's forgiveness... He is supposedly a loving father after all...

As for the person who said "suffer not a witch to live"... You do realize that the bible was not originally penned in English? right? It has been translated from hebrew to aramaic, to latin, to german to english... and sometimes mis-translations occur. The original intent of that statement was "suffer not a poisoner to live." Please try to educate yourself on your own religion before trying to force it down someones throat...

There are some that do believe in the Christian God and practice witchcraft. Most who practice are fairly open and won't look at you any differently for being Christian and practicing, however, most Christians will and tell you that you cannot do both. I don't believe them. Just follow what's in your heart and do what feels right to you.

Oh, and all of us who say "Blessed Be" are NOT Satanists.....whoever said that is completely ignorant. Satan is a Christian concept and has no place in Wicca or witchcraft in general.

Well, the correct answer is no and here are some of the reasons.

True Christianity as taught from the Old and New Testaments (not either or) teaches that God wants us to only worship him. It teaches that He is Omnipotent and is control of everything we see hear, know etc.

Most witchcraft believes in "mother earth" and the ability to influence the world and events, people etc. through means outside of God. Most Witchcraft is based on Humanism and teaches the idea that all people are in effect a god of some sort and can perform acts/rituals etc. otside of the influence of God.

I understand that some strains of witchcraft have attempted to blend the ideals of a Heavenly Father (although it is usually a mother) and the practices of witchcraft which in my opinion takes from the full attention and dedication that God deserves and requires.

The answers to all of lifes mysteries are in the Bible, no need to go looking elsewhere.

Spiritualism and Witchcraft are rather 2 very countless issues. How approximately this...because of the fact your already conscious of the variations to religious ideals, seek for what the similarities are. it relatively is even suggested in the Bible that in case you opt somebody, then ultimately somebody else will decide you too. In different words, what is going around comes around back. Like between the previous responses given to you in this rely, i'd say be careful appropriate to the variety you will lay this out. i in my view have self belief that all human beings is unique for a reason. And the variations would desire to be taken into attractiveness. it relatively is one difficulty to decide an act being executed by utilising somebody, in spite of the undeniable fact that it relatively is totally diverse to decide somebody on what they have self belief of their perspectives and perspectives besides as their cultural historic past.

Witchcraft, just like everything else in this world, has two sides to it. There is good magic (which is what Wicca teaches) and bad magic (harmful purpose). So please don't say witchhcraft is evil and satanic because if that were true then the same could be said for Christians.

What does it mean to you to be a christian?
What does it mean to you to be a witch?
I think it is very dangerous to play with things that are supernatural.
God will reveal himself to you in his own ways as a christian, but to do spells and invite spirits is dangerous.
Good spirits, angels and God do not need to be invited- to will naturally give you signs and protect you. But dark spirits and demons need to be invited. do not give them an opening, a doorway.
Dark Spirits and demons want to confuse you.
However, if you are talking about wicca as in loving nature and creating healing recipes and ect.
it could be fine. celebrating nature is great, and exploring healing through natural, holistic remedies is great.
but remember to worship the creator and not the creation.

There are some who follow a path they call Christian Wicca, and they are able to reconcile the two for themselves in their beliefs. Unfortunately, it means that they sometimes get grief from BOTH sides...
