I've never read any of his works but I've heard his books are very interesting - especially the twists. So that I'm not completely lost, what should I start out with? Should it be one of his trilogys or a book that stands alone?

if you're drawn to Dekker because you like the "twists," i'd suggest starting with Thr3e. it stands independent of his other works and is a quick satifying read with some awesome plot twists. if you're more interested in reading some of his more allegorical writings go ahead and dive into Black, which is the first of what is probably his most well-known trilogy. i started my parents' copy of his first book, Blessed Child, but didn't get very far into it before having to move back to school...i haven't tried to finish it yet, so i can't really comment on that series aside from saying that while it looked promising it started a little slow for me. happy reading!

I liked Adam. I'm behind because I haven't read Red/Black/White. Skin was very unique....I appreciate that in light of so many fantasy books on only a few subjects!!! If you like Dekker, try The Oath by Frank Peretti. It is GREAT! He and Dekker wrote House together. It was good too, but it was too much like a book written to be a movie. Boy, will it make a movie!

I recently read Thr3 and found it intriguing. It kept me guessing right to the end. Then I read House, which he co-authored with Peretti. It was OK but I got bogged down in the movement of people within basement rooms. I just ordered Showdown and hope that it's good.
