No - it was in public.

MAYBE if someone tries to sell it, Michael Richards can sue because it's copyrighted or something.

But just to post - whatever you do in public is fair game.

PS I've since found it was done at a comedy club. So no, that's not public- it's a paid performance. It's like taping a concert - not allowed.

Yes, though it is doubtful he would. The increased exposure is not worth the suit. A comedy club is not a public forum, and the person would need permission of the entertainer before videotaping. Failure to do so, could result in a lawsuit to recover all copies of the recorded segment(s) and damages.

I dont think so since he was performing in public. Can someone send a link to that clip I have not been able to see it.

Wow!!! what exactly did he say?? I just turned on CNN Headline news and they are having a live news conference. Paul Rodriguez is up there talking and all.

Hm I think technicaly yes he can. Like concerts and movies, you arent supposed to take a video footage. The likelihood that he will sue is slim to none. It wont be good for his image to sue for this video. Not that his image is good right now anyways

No, he was performing in public, but I think the club could sue, which the probably wouldn't since they are getting free publicity.
