I'm 13, Male and English. I am in year 9 but have an illnes that prevents me from being able to get into school often (it's long term, had it 2 years now). My 'Best friend' who I'm only just seing again, Well, I'm in love with her, have been for 5 years she was always special... back to the point - I hardly ever see her and we've somhow lost contact, my email's packed up and she hasn't replied to my letter (can't have got lost, I put an undelivered return adress on the back) But I'm very shy, and I want to tell her to the face, But I can't lose her! I'll practiacally die she's all that keeps me going. It doesn't really help that i'm... not the bestlooking boy in the world and she's always hanging around with like, 4 other giggly girls. How do I tell her? Somhow she's always busy when I invite her round but she seems like, erm enthusiastic at school like she really wants to see me. ...long question sorry. please awnser and email me at robert.s.tau@hotmail.co.uk (my yahoo mail wont work)

Hardly anonymous if you give your email address.
Why not forward it to the girl concerned?

THIRTEEN!
You are not in love. You are a child. You are maybe in infatuation or lust, but romantic love takes being a grown-up. It is hard work, and not for kids.
"Falling in love" is for romantic fools and teenagers, UNLESS you are willing to hold her head while she pukes on you, or give him a kidney, or travel to Spain to see him for 1/2 an hour, bail her out of jail or give her your credit cards for safe keeping.
Would you buy a house for her? Yes Could you? No.
Would you give her a baby? Yes? Should you at 13? No!
Would she let you go to college while she worked for 5 years? Yes? Could she? No?
Love is wonderful, and it is also for patient, mature, unselfish, and trustworthy people. Teenagers are usually none of these. YET!
Give yourself a break. Enjoy being a kid!
Love your friend, and tell her you want to have a word with her privately. Tell her you are shy but want her to know that you would like to hang out with her. Do not tell her you are nuts in love with her. You will scare her, and she might laugh at you. That would be awful
If she likes you, looks don't matter. If she doesn't, they do.
Good luck
