Okay I have this friend named Emma right. Well she has a brother named Daniel and I used to be really good friends with both of them. Then like out of the blue Emma tells me if I want to be her friend i'm not allowed to talk to her brother anymore. She yelled at me saying that I talked to him way to much and ignored her. So basically she told me to choose between them. And if not to make it hard enough her brother had just recently admited to me that he liked me more then friends. So here I am stuck "choosing" between the two of them. What should I do! I mean I like talking to both of them. And I don't get why I can't talk to her brother. I mean she talks to mine on the phone. So wouldn't that make her a hypocrite?! Please help.

I am 14 and her brother is 16. She is 13. Yes I know normal teenage "love" problems but this has been going on for about a month now. And every time I mention her brother on the phone she hangs up on me and then wont answer when I call her back.

First of all, sisters before misters...but your friends being an ***.

Reassure your friend first, but calmly and kindly tell her that in all the time you've spent over her house, you've become friends with her bro too. Gently tell her that, hey, she talks to your brother, doesn't she? Remind her that its not him you come over to see. Make sure she knows. Don't be too accusing.

Be calm when ur saying all this, but be firm too. Its relaly not fair of her to make you choose.

how old are you and how old is your friend Emma? i think is a little immature to do this if you are grown up, i know she could be jealous of the time spent together but supposing you make or have a boyfriend what's happening then?

my advice, talk to her and understand why is she thinking and saying those things about her brother, anyway a best friend should remain a best friend anytime.

decide if you want more from her brother or just a friendship.

take a paper and make 2 column one with whats best about your friend and what's wrong and another about her brother.

good luck

Honey, you have a jealous friend and she's being overly protective of her brother. It's very selfish to ask you to choose. I would tell her she's not going to force you to make a choice. You will talk to whomever you please. If she wants to be your friend, cool. If she doesn't, don't worry about it. Keep talking to her brother if he really likes you, and talk to her too. Don't give her any reason to blame this all on you or your choice. Then she doesn't have a leg to stand on. Do Not REACT ! Just enjoy the brothers company and sooner or later she will come around. Godloveya.

Your friend is just jealous because you're paying attention to her brother.

You don't have to pick between them.

Tell your friend exacally what you wrote (about her talking to your brother) and say if she can't handle "sharing you" with her brother, maybe the two of you shouldn't be friends.

She'll probably come around to her senses. Maybe she was having a bad day.

Well, your friend seems to be getting jealous over the fact that you are so close to her brother. You need to let her know that you want to be both of their friends and she cannot tell you not to be friends with her brother or even to date him. If she wants to remain your friend, she will stop being jealous. Good Luck!

I think she's behaving as a spoilt and jealous guy, go out with him if you're strong enough to make her understand or to stand her moods
