It depends on the situation. If you're in a park or walking along a neighborhood street - no. It would probably seem like you were jogging/walking/exercizing. However, if you are walking into a semi-classy restuarant for dinner wearing sweats, it may seem so. A friend of mine has experienced something like this. She was wearing sweats and went into a classy restuarant to ask if she can use their rest room. The door outside said "FORMAL ATTIRE REQUIRED". She told me that when she walked in, she was glared at as if she was the definition of white trash. Conclusion - it depends on the time, place, and circumstance.

my boyfriend wears jogging pants all the time. actually most of my ex's did too. i dont find that they dont care, they just want to be comfortable. theres nothing wrong with that, friend.

It depends where you are. If you are just casually walking, hanging out, shopping, then no. And if you are going to a high end restaurant then yes.

In my humble opinion anyone who wears this type of attire outside of the gym displays a general lack of concern for his/her appearance.
