My brother is in Iraq as well as my brother in law, my cousin's husband and a few others that I know. The democrats whine because that is what they know best. They will change their values, morals, and their opinions with the wind if they think it well get them further on the political road to success. At least our president sticks with his gut and doesn't allow the masses to compromise his dedication in protecting the people of this country. And yes, the terrorists are very glad when a democrat is in office. It means more freedom and less consequence for them to do what they want.

It wasn't liberals who won the mid-terms for the Democrats, it was Independents and moderates. Try to understand it isn't only liberals who want someone else managing this horror of a war. Terrorists are in Iraq NOW, they weren't there before Bush blew Iraq wide open and gave them safe passage in. Even he admitted Hussein had nothing to do with 9/11. We aren't fighting terrorism over there, we are caught in the middle of a civil war that we helped create. We need to get out of Iraq, with a gradual withdrawal, and put all of our might behind actually hunting the terrorists down like the animals they are. Right now we're in too much of a quagmire to focus all of our attention on them and that's what's going to get more people killed by terrorism in the end. In all of the Iraq confusion the numbers of terrorists are growing by leaps and bounds. What's so hard to understand about that?

Why was it necessary to go to war with Iraq? Iraq posed no threat to the U.S.

We "whine" about the war in Iraq because we've sent thousands of U.S. soldiers to their deaths, and tens of thousands to be wounded. This is an unacceptable loss of human life for a war that has no justification, not to mention the billions of dollars that have been spent.

If you want the cold, hard bottom line - it's a waste of resources. Yes, war is sometimes a necessary evil - but it should not be entered into hastily, without d--n good reason. Being selective in the wars we fight doesn't make us a "pushover." It makes us the powerful and savvy nation that we've always been.

It is because of the big lie. Nobody thinks all republicans are bad. What people are upset about is the philosophy behind what Bush is doing - shoot first and ask questions later. The motives of most citizens, right and left, are for the success of this nation and harmony in the world. Bush, however, has an agenda that is not for our benefit. He has not made a mess of Iraq due to bad advise, incompetence, stupid generals, etc., he has done exactly what he set out to do - destabilize Iraq, and the region. In the process, he has compromised our standing in the world, blown the moral authority we used to have, invalidated world treaties about the treatment of prisoners, and generally thumbed his nose at the rest of the world. He has a wish fulfilling prophecy about setting us against the entire Muslim world which will end up being far worse than 9/11 in the long run, and bankrupt the country in the process. All this to get rid of Saddam, who his father GHWB maintained in power. Saddam looks good compared to what Bush will have caused to replace him.

We don't whine we use intelligence ( something you are sorely lacking) to make the point that it was an unnecessary war to start with and the worst excuted by our country EVER, if crap for brains like Rumsfield hadn't done such a lousy job of waging it maybe we wouldn't be so pissed off.I also might add the the situation is now FUBAR and that's that. Ain't no fixin' it now. So we either offer up more blood & treasure in the pursuit of futility or cut our losses

I don't remember any one originally "whining" about the invasion to find Osama in the war in Afghanistan. And since there is no resolution to "fix" Iraq. This liberal will stop whining when
all those who think that Iraq is the correct war and worth staying at all cost.
Please join the fight there. If you cannot go then send your children and your money.

Needless to say you have never served a day in uniform, but are happy to see others die for the stupidity that George and his team have got us into (O yea I served 6 years).

Why don't you whine about Iraq too? It's going terribly.
Iraq and Afghanistan is not under control at all. If they would attack us if we left, they would have already attacked us by now.
It's just logic.

Why do right-wing zealots whine period?

You have your failing war, your record deficits, your bad real estate
market,what else do you want?

And your question is typical hostility from a right-wing conformist nobody.

You answered your own question!

They think the same way about republicans!

If we didn't have conflicting government I'm pretty sure we would be called something else, not a democracy.
