A prostitute provides a service for her fee and a porn star is an actress who has sex.
You wouldn't assume that Brad Pitt was really an Assasin just because he played one in a movie would you?

If you have ever been to Europe where prostitution is legal and state regulated, where the ladies have to get monthly doctors clean bill of health cards, and a portion of the earnings go back into the state healthcare system. It is a good idea for an earnings potential and can offset budget issues, but the big difference from there to here is most persons in the U.S. are not open-minded and do not like being told how to run their lives.I visited Germany in 2002 and was impressed at how their government ran things like the prostitution rings, the enviromental laws, the vehicles on the roads were not all run down, and local governments kept their towns safe and cleaned up.Unlike here where everything is all about the mighty dollar and who can make more of it, and to hell with the little guy trying to survive, we only get educated on how illegal everything is in schools, so we grow up not understanding the way things could be. So a porn star is in the entertainment industry and they have a lot of influence in what the governing laws should be, they must have the idea if you have porn on movies you are making them money, if you get prostitutes to do the same things they don't get the money for your entertainment.

It's a different level of prostitution. A porn star gets to keep the majority of her money; on the other hand, a prostitute gives the majority of her money to her pimp. A porn star (depending on the movie) can go to exotic locations & stay in very nice hotel rooms. Prostititues...they are lucky to get a room in a seedy motel & not murdered. It is all sex for money!

I don't think so, but ask a porn star and they will get hysterical about u calling them a prostitute. But last time I checked, acting was for people who acted right? well they ain't pretending to have sex, ITS THE REAL THING SO HOW THE HELL ARE THEY ACTRESSES/ACTORS???!! so no I don't think so, they just glamorize the porn, and the prostitutes are the trailer trash i guess...

yeah supposedly is the key word. in my opinion they are all sluts. as attractive as some may find them, putting yourself out like that to sell your body is a waste. intercourse is supposed to be an intimate occurence not something that is merely a pastime as unfortunately to many it has become. dont get me wrong - i love sex as much as the next one- but i do it with one guy in the privacy of our bedroom and if we decide to film it or take photographs that is for our own personal pleasure not to be advertised to the world. Besides, why would you want to use something thats already been used or viewed by the rest of the world?

There is no difference, but people might think so. They might think Porn Star is different because she looks cleaner.
