Just the fact that you are asking the question means that you pretty much know the answer. Yes, you are too young.
If you were truly comfortable and prepared to become sexually active, you wouldn't be getting "permission" from a bunch of strangers on Yahoo.

And one more thing, you write "this isn't a serious question" right there shows you aren't ready at all, cause really, it IS a serious question .

P.S. Annie's answer ROCKS!!!!!!

It's not about age, it's about being ready. I had sex when I was 16 and it was so boring and meaningless. I now wish I had waited for a little longer. I do not think that 14 is too young for other forms of sex. You do not have to do everything to have fun. Also, if your having to ask if 14 is too young, you are not ready.

Well buddy, the law IS there for a reason, believe it or not. In fact I don't even know if you could call it a law, more a guideline. But anyway, I think you are too young. It doesn't matter how long you've known her for. Does she want to do it with you? By all means go ahead but if you're in the wrong situation trust me you will have plenty of regrets.

14, 15, 16, 17, 18, etc is TOO YOUNG to have sex. Marriage is the ONLY suitable place in which to have sex. The emotional complications (not to mention psychological, financial and maturity issues) are too severe. Don't do something you WILL regret (in more ways than one). While sex may be fun, AFTER sex is NOT fun.

The only time a young adult should have sex is when they are mature and responsible enough to deal with the outcomes. Some religions forbid this until after marriage - it's really not a bad idea at all.............
Be a teenager and enjoy life (without sex - it is possible you know). Once your're an adult then you're on your own.

In Canada, legally, you'd be okay if you had sex at 14. This is the age of consent in my country.

If you really REALLY want to have sex with this girl, and you're not at the legal age of consent, then I would "try" to put it off for another year at least if I were you. But if you MUST have sex with her, then please use a condom and ask that she use a sponge as secondary protection. This is my best advice for you. Please be advised because you are rather very young to have an accidental pregnancy with her. At least be informed and mature about this very adult activity.

Yes, 14 is waaaay to young. You can't possibly take financial responsibility for all the possible consequences for this behavior. You have a lifetime yet to get into this sort of thing. Get to know a lot of girls before you regret not having a big field from which to choose.:o)

if you are ready to get a job and raise a baby the rest of your life then you are old enough to have sex! Because this could be the consequence at any time! No matter how many precautions you think you might be taking there is always a chance for error!

Yes, 14 is to young to even be thinking about sex..! Even if you do use a condom, or sum kind of protection...pregnancy is still likely to happen, so is STD'S..! And thats to young to devote your life to raising a child, and holding down a job...Enjoy your life while you can, and dont have sex..! Save it for marriage..!! You'll be happy that you did...

Speaking from experience, physically too young, no, maturity-wise, yes too young. If you can't wait, at the very least educate yourself with the different types of birth control and make sure you use them. Dodging bullets isn't easy and the statistics of teen pregnancy don't lie. It's hard to control those hormones so at least be smart about it.
