Oh yet a very non-traditional holiday for me. For the first time in how many years …(oh maybe skip that one), I am going to spend Thanksgiving alone. I have no plans what so ever for Thanksgiving or at least none that are set in stone this very minute. BUT if I live to see 6:00pm tonight I will be going to Washington DC for a day! I am going to sit when I want to sit. I am going to eat when I get hungry. I am going to look at what I want to see. I am going walk when I want to walk. I am going to rest when I want to rest and walk fast when I want to get somewhere sooner. I am going to say p*ss on the world as I now know it and completely leave my life behind for one entire day. Not a full 24 hour day but a strong 17 hours!! I am sure that I will regret it the next day when I will not be able to move. But h*ll the next day would have been my anniversary had that have worked out so basically I know it is going to suck anyway. Maybe I will have a good time and maybe I will not, only I will decide this trip, so nobody to blame but me! I hope all that read this message have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. Smile at everyone, dislike but few, love only yours, and hate no one.

My husband, children, and I are leaving in a few hours (from Indiana) to go to North Carolina to visit my dad and my sister and her family.
We will all be together at my sister's house on Thanksgiving. I imagine that since we haven't seen each other for a few years that we will spend the day cooking, baking, talking and hugging!!
