"This whole "marriage-family" thing's been fun..... but I gotta go....."

Yes..... but they can't let you off the ride till it's over. Since it's most likely that it's mental and emotional exhaustion that's bogging you, take some time for yourself to think about your situation and reevaluate what you have control over. There's no point in stressing over things you can't control, even if the outcome is going to suck. Just try to get through it the best that you can. The only thing you can really control is you and your attitude, so try to focus on how you can make it the easiest passage. When it's over, you can say you made it through it, and that you learned something about yourself, and everyone else involved. You'll be just fine!!

I think this happens to everyone. Usually when I feel overwhelmed it is because I have too many things to do. I try to make a list, check them off when I do them and go on to the next. Before too long I get things under control.

I think everyone gets to that point sometime in their lives. That is when you go to a movie and chill for a while. The fact it all you can do in life is give it your best the rest is in Gods hands have faith...it will work out.

I feel that way now. No matter what I do to protect my son it isn't working. His father is being mentally abusive towards him and no one acknowledges it. He has taken him around his child molesting mother (the judge said since she hasn't done it in a number of years she's alright now), he calls him all sorts of horrid names, tells him vicious things like his brothers are really his brothers, made a mock tape telling him it was me saying I didn't want him, and allows him to have access to pornographic material. My son told Children and Youth this and they informed me although my ex's behavior is inappropriate it's not abuse. I'm losing and I am getting tired of fighting.

Yes.
That's when I take a break and make a plan with realistic goals. It's a normal feeling, especially in November.

sometimes, but i always think there's plenty who have it worse than me, so i just forge ahead - would love to crawl under a rock somedays & just hide - but i cant - it's virtually impossible to hide when you're a single mom with 2 kids!
