We have some Sikh friends who don't celebrate Christmas but they always invite us over for a drink during the season. It's not Christmas related but I think it is very kind and thoughtful of them to do so. Last year it was on Christmas Eve, even though it put us in a time crunch we happily stopped in for a visit.
I find people from India to be very kind and hospitable, wonderful people to be with.

Christians and some Hindus(too less in percentage) celebrate christmas in India. It is celebrated with pomp and glory. Since only 3% of Indian population is Christian, you cant see the same as you see in West but still houses of christians see it the same as in west. I am an Indian living in chennai and you can take these words from me.

Some do and have religious meaning to them about 3% of the Indian population is Christen.

Some celebrate because they are in the areas surrounded by the Christens and they get in to the spirit.

I personally like all religious and non religious celebrations.

Life is too short not to enjoy the holidays.

Or participate in celebrations.
