People are not offended by breast feeding but the act of putting a bare breasted nipple out in public and allowing your baby to suck it, is somewhat a private act. Then when someone watches while a woman is doing this and getting aroused and gawking and staring and making the woman who is breast feeding uncomfortable that is her fault. Others just feel its unladylike to pull out your breast in public when there are other options such as pumping milk into a breast pump and pour the same milk in the baby's bottle for daily outings. I can understand the need to do this in public when there was no such options as pumping machines but nowadays I think woman should keep the act of breast feeding at home.

It makes me feel uncomfortable. I couldn't even be a medical assistant when knowing how I had to do EKG's. I saw a woman's breast and I was very uncomfortable. I just don't see why we have to see it. I only find it acceptable for animals. We can use a bottle in public. Use the breast at home and bottle in public.

I don't think people are offended by the act of feeding, rather they think that a bare breast doesn't belong in public, even if there's an infant attached to it.
Now, if it was a nude beach ...... go for it.
