So charlie is mearly trying to prove a point. about the draft. Ok fair enough. He knows it won't pass but he is proceeding anyway. In the events of the day does this not seem a little childish? Aren't there more pressing things than proving a point. I mean we all get it right? Is this the way we want our taxes to support our elected officials? I mean who is suppose to be keeping these people in line? and who is responsible for the money spent on trying to pass bogus laws? When does someone take responsibility? No matter what side of the isle. Who should have to pay for the time and money being spent on this?

I agree. Party affiliation aside, I believe that anyone who wants to waste our time and money deserves ejection from office. It's insulting to the people who elected the official to be petty and frivolous.

I gotta say that it is absolutely hilarious that Rangel is mouthing off about this for the simple reason that in 2004 one of the Democrats biggest talking points was about how the Republicans were going to bring back the draft. And now the bill is sponsored by one of the most communist blowhards in the Congress.

But you are 100% correct in that he is wasting OUR money in his lame little power-game meanwhile NOT fixing some of the actual problems that face our country. Just goes to show you what kind of scumbags run for office.

First thing...i think I love you. Second, war sucks. We don't need any one bring the subject of a draft back. It instills fears, which I think the Republican Party likes to run on. Its just this weeks thing to complain about. Just wait, it will blow over after Bush opens his mouth and says something to piss the rest of the world off again. Or maybe he will invade N. Korea....LOL!!!

As one wise man put it, "If it looks like a turd, smells like a turd, feels like a turd, tastes like a turd, and sounds like a turd, it's a safe bet that it's not a rose.
