Wow, I'd probably say something to your father and apologize to your in-laws. That's pretty embarrassing.

I would call my father and tell to call me first to see if i have the money first , if i didn't I ask to borrow the money for him because that is embarrassing.

Why want you just give your father some money or ask him what is it for and do he really need it and why he need it for but you never know he might lie to in your face so there for just go on and give him the couple of dollars he need for he want embrass. you in front of your in-laws.

Tell him NO!!! That's a terrible position for him to put you in. He's the father, your the daughter, let him sort it out for himself.

ask him not to as it would cause you great embarrassment - if you have a good relationship with yr in laws explain that he may ask and perhaps you can reach a less embarrassing solution if they are pre warned.

Tell him funds are low.
