Neither party seems to stand for anything. Both burn your tax money like it was firewood. Both limit your freedoms. Never has it been more true that, "If Government is the answer - it must be a pretty stupid question."

So why don't Americans wake up and realize that for every dollar they pay in taxes, they get maybe 10 cents in benefits? Why don't they figure out that every new law just adds to the cost of government? Government is the biggest employer in the country - but it doesn't produce anything but misery.

Followup question: Is it time for a second revolution?

Because people are incredibly stupid, lazy and figure "as long as it's not hurting me" or "as long as I get something out of it" it's okay.

Revolution? Hell yes. There are going to be dead bodies in the streets and politicians hanging from ropes.

They have been brainwashed into thinking the whole issue is which party has control. They've never bothered to look at anything beyond that simple idea. Its really rather pathetic.

No, I don't think a revolution in the classical sense is ever a good idea because it involves many innocent deaths. There has to be a better way than to harm so many people. Perhaps an intellectual revoltion where the people finally throw all the lying slimeballs out of our government? One where we take back control from those who would rob us blind and make war for their own gain? I'd go for that!

FINALLY!!! Someone with a brain making a posting on this liberal tripe site!!

Why don't they realize this? Because they are lemmings. It is easier to let someone else do their thinking for them, so they allow it.

People love to follow the path of least resistance. However, what they forget is that that is what water does -- and it gets dumped out at the lowest point and forgotten.

As for revolution? Do it at the ballot box. I would love to see a congress made up of 15% Demopublicans, 15% Republocrats, and the remainder made up of 'others.' That way everyone would be FORCED to work together.

I agree with you, but unfortunately we have a 2 party system whether we like it or not. I try to vote for the lesser of the evils. A lot of people tried to make a stand by voting independant so .....Bush got in. As for the revolution, You'd have trouble getting people motivated. The young people won't care about the war in Iraq until they reinstitute the draft. They're more concerned with celebrities.

The time is coming. If the Dems continue to furiously fan the flames of class and generational warfare, that revolution may come sooner rather than later.

Because America is so polarized right now that we can't even agree on anything. Meanwhile, both sides remain corrupt in their own unique, insipid ways.

I agree but what can we do about it? NOTHING. Good luck trying, you will find most people are brainwashed and/or really stupid.
