The only possible way for homosexual relationships to create the extinction of the human race is if all humans were to become gay and stop breeding. However, even people in homosexual relationships can still have the need to produce offspring, and not just through adoption. True, if enough people stopped breeding, the population would begin to lower, but the earth is over populated as it is and it wouldn't be a bad thing.

As far as divorce...well, look at heterosexual marriages. Nothing bad EVER happens in those.

*Snicker*

The only thing we are saying by keeping gay people from marrying is that they do not have as much common sense or emotion needed in the area of choosing a mate. However, that is a problem for all human beings and not exclusive to homosexuals or heterosexuals.

well it depends on the child or person it may affect...you see some children or people of any age do not accept that some one they know is gay, they can be a bit mean towards this person.it also depends on the circunstances...if a childs mother/father tells the child they are gay and are getting married then the child has two options of behavior.1 the child acts as if everything is ok and says nothing to object against the marrige, though they may be a bit uppset and not be themselves.or 2.the child takes it bad and lets you know this by seaking your atention, trying to split you up from your partner, use things that the child knows will hurt you most and make you feel guilty.
of corse this depends on if the person in question is a child or an adult and the circunstances and relation they have in the marrige.
hope you get you answer.

For a start it is marriage not marrige. The problem with gay behaviour is taht it always seems to take the good looking ones. For instance you get the hots for a good looking chick then find she's gay. Or a good looking guy and find his's gay. So I guess the effect is the good looking people will die out and in the end we'' all be as ugly as hell.

Well it will reall p i s s off the religious right. Oh wait! That's a good thing!

Marital infidelity is the only thing it can increase (absolute numbers, not percentages), but this is only because of a definitional reason. The cheating would occur whether or not someone had a peice of paper saying they were married, but if married then it becomes marital infidelity.

None, just equal rights for all. ck stats. How many gays are accepting government assistance? As opposed to hetro's?? You'll find they are most times in stable relationships that last longer than the Spears relationship. As for utusecloc, can find another country or another God because my God is a loving one, not judgmental mortal. Have a good day.

hopefully, you get greater very own evaluations than "the bible says". the only difficulty that a gay marriage would reason is that it will the two make 2 human beings greater suitable than satisfied and that they're going to spend something of their lives mutually in wedded bliss, or issues won't artwork out and prefer fifty 5% of all married couples, will finally end up in divorce.

Since no one has been able to produce any evidence that gay marriage is detrimental to society or to the institution of marriage in those countries where gay unions are permitted, the answer is NO.

none.

However, I think government should stay out of the business of defining what is or isn't a marriage, and should also get out of the business of issuing marriage licenses.

Marriage is a private matter and, in most cases, a religious matter. Let the religious entities determine how and to whom they sanction a marriage. Further, for individuals who are atheist, let them draw up a marriage contract.

Pretty simple solution.

None the fact that homosexuals could marry would not cause any change to our society except give stability to those couples that need it more than straights.

Look at Canada Marriage has been legal for same sex couples there for several years and society has not crumbled. In several European countries civil unions have not eroded the society yet Americans continue to cite that as the reason to deny it for homosexuals here.

none, it would give us equal rights. i love my girlfriend with all my heart and want to spend the rest of my life with her. how would me marring the person i love, hurt anything?

the extinction of the human race is a ridiculous excuse, think about how overpopulated we are! just because some people are gay doesn't mean EVERYONE is gay. by the way what does that have to do with marriage? nothing.
p.s. gay people CAN have kids
