Stop being perverted, actually I think there is a dead animal somewhere in the wall, I saw a small hole and stuck my finger in it and I got this foul odor, now the room stinks. What can I do to get whatever is there out of there?

before you tear down the house.....go to the hardware store get some 'lime'...you CAN put the lime into the wall thru a small opening that can be patched. The lime will mummify the rodent and kill the smell. I don't think duct tape is the answer.

Try vinegar on the finger. Close the hole with duct tape and close the door and call a pro. The body needs to be removed by a pro to make sure there is no disease and that it is all out. You can wait until it decays, but that can be a long smelly process. Happened to friends in Austin...a rat died in the wall.

short of opening up the wall nothing other than sealing the hole to keep the smell in. Use duct tape.

Light a match and throw it in the hole. Continue to do that until the smell goes away.
