I am not sure what get the pantyhose out means. most of us who work wear pantyhose or stockings to work everyday, even with dress pants, and whenever we go out at night. I would say socks for a grown female are about as unfashionable and mannish as you can get. I always wear hose with anything but sneakers, which I only wear when exercising.

Same as work, but a slight notch dressier. Black pants and a nice blouse. More jewelry than usual to dress it up a bit. No need to break out the hose unless she is wearing a skirt...but I think pants are better for co-workers. Then she can wear trouser socks and flats. Or a small heeled shoe.

Unless your wife's co-worker has stipulated that dress is semi-formal or dressy, your wife should go for "nice but casual" such as a pair of slacks or a skirt with a pretty sweater. Have fun!

She should dress up but still be comfortable. Most people wear a nice pair of pants and a comfy sweater

I would say Khaki pants and a nice sweater that has a tint of orange and browns if she has that. It could be casual or a little dressier...it's an inbetween. But, if it's at someone's house, I would expect it to be more casual.

I would do a nice pair of pants and a nice blouse or sweater. Kinda in the middle of dressy but not overdressed to make her feel uncomfortable

This is a question for the co-worker! Just ask them if it's a casual or dressy affair.

classy yet casual. do your hair and face but dont bother trying to get into an evening gown going to a coworkers. some dressy pants and a cute top should do fine. tell her not to fuss over her outfit too. theyre just cloths!

Have your wife call her co-worker and just ask if it's casual or formal. Shouldn't hurt to just ask.
