This is the mother of a student of mine who will be visiting the UK. She will not be accompanied by her husband, and I wish to avoid offence.

Shake her hand only touching her fingertips IF she extends her hand, otherwise just say, "Hello"!
Another approach would be to place your right hand over your heart an say , "Hello"! Since she is married this is probrably the best approach unless she extends her hand first.

I live in Qatar, near Bahrain... You should as someone before me already said...put ur right hand on ur chest and say "hi,nice to meet you" because many Gulf citizens don't shake hands,especially those in Bahrain and Iran...and u can call her by saying "Mrs ..." or "Sheikha ...."whichkind of means princess/queen which is a term which we would tend to use formally here with many citizens :) hope i was of service

Bahrain is a fairly cosmopolitan area, and mrs ... will be fine
i never called the parents any different when i worked there for yrs
just remember if she is muslim, her last name will either be surname or more commonly family name, and her first name is not her christian name, for reasons quite obvious

Use Mrs. (family name of husband)...
I don't think you will cause any form of offense to her...just act normally...don't worry...you'll be perfectly fine!!!
