Iron Out works really well, BUT be very careful and don't breathe the fine powder and fumes. Sounds like you have hard water if the rust is reappearing so quickly. Do you have a water softner? This would really help with your rust problem tremendously and your clothes will come clean easier and you will use ALOT less soap for clothes washing and bathing as well. It has alot of benefits.

Get a piece of fine metal screen (they have them at cleaning supply and sometimes plumbing supply shops) and use it to scrub stains and rings out of the toilet. You might need to replace the workings in the tank if that's what's causing the rust. If not, could be your pipes.

Put some Coca Cola or Pepsi in the toilet, leave overnight and the rust will disappear.

There is a cleanser called 'ZUD'. Dump a 1/2 cup into the water in the bowl and let sit overnight.
This is the only thing that worked for me on an etched bowl!

All of the answers you have received offer helpful advice so I'll just add what I do.
Clorox works exceptionally well. Just pour some in the bowl and let it stand for an hour or so, usually no scrubbing required.
Good luck!

I definitely have rusty water too, and that i exploit SNO BOL, made be Church & Dwight Co. If it relatively is relatively undesirable, positioned a stable coat on earlier you bypass to mattress after every person is complete utilising the bathroom. do not overlook to place the lid down in case you have pets! Works large, smells stable and it relatively is affordable!
