on a budget?
I return, hehe. My neighbor just came over to borrow something and she started out whoa is me are they, they never have any money and live pay check to pay check like MOST americans do. Now keep in mind there are 2 parents and one bitchy teenage daughter who work.

Im like you reduce your debt if you have any? Sell your expensive cars and get something that wont costs an arm and a leg and your daughter can ride the bus to school, she doesnt need a jetta
We make it on one income, yes 40 percent of the time we are payday to payday but I wouldnt buy things I couldnt afford, why don't people understand this? and then get themselves in that position and whine about it?
IF you dont want debt, DONT HAVE IT, RIGHT ?
your thoughts?

I AGREE WITH YOU WHOLEHEARTIDLY. I see all these people flipping out their credit cards when it comes to pay. They go to bed worrying, they are thousands of dollars in debt, they probably have all kinds of high blood pressure, ulcers. etc. If I can't pay for it cash, I don't get it. I learned my lesson by putting myself in major debt with credit cards. I have paid them off and now I live a simple life. I have taught my children to appreciate things. Don't get me wrong. I give them what they need, but they are not spoiled little brats. They have learned to appreciate the value of things and money. Excellent question and though provoking.

It is really that simple. Live below your means. If you think you can afford a $200,000 home, buy a $150,000 one. The same with a car, boat, ect. Most people just don't get it. Material things just take over their brain and they can not think.

I have to agree with you. So many people live beyond there means or try to keep up with the Jones' but then complain about everything under the sun

I had a neighbor that would ALWAYS borrow stuff, food mainly. They had two incomes, made more than me and the wife, but they had three quads, two new vehicles. I don't know how they made it. I only gave them food because I felt sorry for their kids.

I have to be honest. I ALWAYS want things I can't afford (or shouldn't anyway) My credit cards are always maxed out at the end of the month! It's another one of my addictions.

Money just seems to escape them.

i run on a simple philosophy. No money, then I can't buy it.

If I have to choose between necessities and luxuries, the luxuries can wait

So what your nagging basically about is that you don't like to give out free sugar! to your neighbors! that's just wrong! now if they want to steel!, cheat!, and lie! their way into your home then you have a problem give them some sugar! is what I say!
