To all lovers of Wedel chocolate,

All of us who love Wedel know that it is owned by Cadbury. We also know that we shall rise in protest if Wedel chocolate is completely replaced by Cadbury chocolate. Long live WEDEL!!

Here are my questions...

Do you think Wedel chocolate still tastes like it did before Cadbury bought Wedel? Did the quality drop? Or perhaps... did it improve? (I only began eating Wedel chocolate this year, so I don't know what it was like before sale to Cadbury.)

Do you think there is a noticeable difference between the taste of Wedel chocolate and Cadbury chocolate? (I think so, and I would HOPE so. However, I haven't eaten Cadbury for ages.)

I love Wedel chocolates, especially those with a cocconut or strawberry filling. I don't think the quiality has dropped, why should it? But when it comes to milk chocolate, my winner is Goplana - the one in a purple and white paper wrapping. If you haven't tried this one yet, make sure you do. It's absolutelly fabulous :-)

I am in Australia but I come from Poland, Warsaw - the city of Wedel. I love all their products! Especialy "Ptasie mleczko" (bird's milk). If you have a chance to go there, I recommend to have a drink of hot Wedel chocolate, it is rich and served with whipped cream. I think that Cadbury chocolates suck (sorry).

In my opinion, Wedel chocolate still has its own distinctive flavour and I don't think its quality has dropped.
It's a matter of personal taste, I suppose.
