I noticed this weekend that my nipples became red, hard and sore for no reason. It's not going away. This is not normal for me. I never get my period (I'm 27) but when I did, usually my boobs get sore, not the nipples. They also stand up, like a mini rubber band is around them.

I took a pee test last night, it was neg. I don't get my period so I'm not sure when to take another test.

I don't have health insurance so I can't afford a blood test.

I've had extreme mood swings and cravings for over a week.

Could I be pregnant? (it's possible, I'm married and we do the pullout method)
Suggestions?

Let me answer some of your questions so far:

---why don't you have periods? you should see your gp.
**I have. They told me I was fine. She put me
back on the pill and told me not to worry about it. Personally, I think I have PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome) but I'm no doctor.

---You might be pregnant because the so-called "pull-out" or "withdrawal" method does NOT prevent pregnancy because pre-ejaculatory fluid contains thousands of sperm. Pre-come gets you pregnant the same way as ejaculate.
**Yep! I am fully aware the pullout method doesn't work, I wasn't trying to prevent pregnancy. Hubby just likes it.

---There is no way you can concieve without an egg/ovulating. if you don't do that... no baby.
**Again I know this, that's why I didn't expect to get pregnant.

Okay so if I go to the state health clinic, will a blood test show a positive even if I am only 1 week?

Wait one more week and take another test. First Response brand is one of the most sensitive on the market. Use first-morning urine, and don't drink any liquids a few hours before bed the night before you test.

If you are pregnant, you will likely notice fatigue, tiredness, sleeping more, and much more frequent urination. Often, pregnant women wake up a couple of times a night to urinate, particularly early in the pregnancy.

You might be pregnant because the so-called "pull-out" or "withdrawal" method does NOT prevent pregnancy because pre-ejaculatory fluid contains thousands of sperm. Pre-come gets you pregnant the same way as ejaculate.

Time to get some health insurance, and if you can't afford it, then try to get on Medicaid, which covers pregnant women in a lot of states. I believe state WIC programs also cover pregnant women.

First Question..... aren't you worried that you don't ovulate or menstrate? That could be a sign of something being wrong. Not to mention not having a "normal" cycle is depriving your body of estrogen which is particularly important in the production and maint. of bones- meaning you could be calcium deficient.

As for the baby.. its hard to say- if you don't menstrate chances are your nipples may be just soar. it happends.

There is no way you can concieve without an egg/ovulating. if you don't do that... no baby.

If i were you i'd go to a clinic where they specialize in helping those with no insurance- get a bloodtest, a mamogram, a bone density test and a pap.

Good Luck---- Take Care Of Your Body!!! its the only one you've got.

The pull out method is never fool proof believe me my husband and I used the same thing and I am 29 weeks pregnant. The health department will do a pregnancy test for you and I think it is either free or they charge like $20. Or at least they did when I had to go there. Your best bet is to visit the Health Department or if you have a Planned Parenthood near you.
