It means that you have to contact the schools you have attended and get them to send your transcripts to the schools you are applying to. Usually you have to pay for this service. It means you cannot pick up a copy of your transcripts and photo copy them and send them. They must be originals and sent from the university or school. This is a method universities use to make sure transcripts are not tampered with.

Go to or write to the registrar at your university, the office that issues your grades. They should be familiar with this requirement. The most important feature usually is a raised seal placed by the university, although some schools may print official transcripts on a special paper that cannot be copied. You will almost certainly have to pay a small fee to the university to have them print an official copy of the transcript. The main thing is that the school you're applying to DOESN'T want a photocopy, an e-mail, or a fax.

An official copy of your transcript is requested by you to be sent to a prospective employer. The transcript has the university seal on the paper and is certified by the university to be a correct record of your grades..

An official transcript has all your grades and the university stamp or seal on it. An official transcript is something that the university sends out without the student touching it at all.

you need to get a copy of transcripts, which is a print out of all of your grades or evaluations that you have received throughout school. most universities in the usa will ask for your high school as well as any college education records you may have. to have it be official a counselor from your school would have to sign it or mark it as an official copy so that the university that you send it to will recognize it as legitimate. need more help? ask your teachers at school or ask the university that you are interested in to contact your school administrator. im sure they could figure this problem out for you. good luck and enjoy the United States. Its a great place to live

US schools want you to ask all of your previous school to send a transcript or list of all of the class you have taken along with the grades that you received. An official transcript has the school stamp on it and is usually in an sealed envelope with the registrar's signature signed across the flap. This way the US school feels confident that you didn't alter the form in any way.

When I requested (and paid) for my official transcripts from the University of California, at Santa Cruz, they were sent to me. I have them still, seal unbroken, awaiting the employment interviewer who needs them.

It means they want your grades from any other institutions (other colleges and/or your high school) sent directly from those institutions. It means you cannot just make a Xerox copy of your paperwork and send it. The information has to come directly from the places that have those records.
