You and your wife, need to sit down and have a serious discussion before it leads to a divorce. If that won't work, try counseling. There is NO need for blame, everyone loses in this situation.

You can't lose something you never had. She should be taking half the blame for it. You were in it together. If she had respect for you before all this then she would own up to her part in all of it instead of putting it all on you. Sounds like divorce is going to be your only out because your not going to get respect.

losing a business is generally the result of piss poor management. Her digs are likely the result of her frustration towards you about the business. Take responsibility where you need to. Talk to her and tell her that when "she says this, you feel like this_________ feeling. "
Communication is a two way street. She feels a certain way about your handling of joint financial affairs. Trust is likely in pretty low supply.

You both need to talk and realize that it's really not important who's fault the business failure was. Get back to being a team and pick up the pieces TOGETHER!!!! You both need to respect each other.

You need to talk, tell her how it makes you feel when she talks about you like that to other people. Businesses fail, doesn't mean you need to fail each other. And by all means do not fail the kids if you have any, by breaking up their home. Get counseling.

It was your business and her business TOGETHER as partners. You and your wife should have communicated better if you wanted to share this........ even now you should communicate while you still can or it will get worser.

Respect is something that has to be earned! You don't just get it from her because she's your wife - you still have to earn it.....Obviously you haven't!
