Cos they don't want to be seen actually admitting they are wrong or don't have an answer. They will always twist the question to make it look like they are answering it but actually they are going completely off subject. Its what I hate about politicians, if they are wrong they should admit it.

Every aspect of a politician's public life is scripted so as to tow the party line. When presented with a situation that deviates from a politician's script then expect to see them evade and redirect as if their life depended on it. In reality, their public life does depend on it.

It's a sad state of affairs, but these people we elect in trust to run our lives are some of the most manipulative, dishonest and elitist folk in the world. And they have the audacity to expect the rest of us to act in a moral and civil way.

Welcome to a world of proportional representation where self-serving interests, as opposed to serving the public good, override everything else.

Politicians are proffessional Liars, they say one thing and mean something completely different.
It`s inpossible for a politian to give a straight as that would requir them to think ,which you need a brain for. Unfortunately when God gave people brains the British politicians got in the wrong queue and missed out

The best answer is the actual definition from the Concise English Dictionary.
Politician - One who seeks to only to advance himself and his party by scheming.
Scheming - forming plots, crafty, tricky, intrigue and contrive.
You will note the words "based on the truth" are not included.
The result is the people become cynical about politicians.
Cynical - questioning the sincerity of the politicans motives and actions.

This is an interesting question. I remember when one of my colleagues asked a similar question. It shows that there is an interest in such matters and I am pleased that you have raised the issue. Many people are concerned about tge matter in the way that you patently are. You are therefore not alone, which we fully understand.........
er, what aws the question again?
