I believe people are against homosexuality because they are either brought up to believe that it is wrong or because they lack knowledge of it and don't quite understand it. The guy in that television show "30 Days" was against homosexuality because the bible said it was wrong. Well the man is in the military and the bible says that killing is wrong. If this man was more open realizing his own hipocratic actions then I think he would have an easier time acception homosexuality. I also suspected this man's best friend to be gay and if he would come out of the closet I think the homophobe would be more willing to understand and accept it because some one close to him is gay. All in all I think it is your environment and the people you grow up around that shape your out look on homosexuality..

I tried that "war is killing" line on this site once, but a thumper came along and said that war is not wrong, only individual murder. Of course I'm not saying I agree, but I am explaining to you that that line won't work with them. That is their mentality.

You are in error, the man in the military was in no way a hypocrite. Nowhere does the Bible make a blank statement that all killing is wrong. The actual commandment was "Thou shalt do no murder". Numerous crimes in the Old Testament carry the death penalty, and the Nation Of Israel waged many wars in the name of YHWH, those involved killing and had the Blessing of their God. Being in the military does not in any way contradict scripture, non-procreative sex does. That is why homosexual, oral, anal, and masturbatory sex are all forbidden, as is the use of contraception. I've met homophobes who were non-religious, even atheist, the Bible is just one excuse out of many, a Bigot in need of target to hate can always find a justification, factual or not.

I agree with you wholeheartedly!!!!!!!!! I don't think it's "wrong" to be homosexual & others should not judge another's sexuality just because they don't know or have walked in a homosexual's shoes either. I think we are living in another world than when the Bible was written - where women were nothing or slaves & a lot of stone-throwing & sacrifices were a daily event. You are so right!

I was brought to beleive that homosexuality is wrong,but now i think,live and let live,it takes all kinds to make the world go round,and i always say that if my sons turn out to be gay i will still love them and same goes for nephews and nieces.

See, if you understand the 'Survival of the fittest', you will see some animal breeds many offspring but only few survives. Only the very best one will survive!
However, reproduction is the only known method to continue the 'success' of any ‘higher animal species’ like human.
Sex is ‘Basis’ or ‘Channel’ set forth, for the continuation of the 'Flow of a Race or species'. (That includes any living breathing animal cat or dog you see around, including Human).
"Two same sexes cannot produce an offspring." Their sex does not serve the 'Purpose of the Nature'. It just means S-E-X, without any purpose of the ‘Nature’.
Remember 'SEX' is not for 'Erotica' but for 'Serving the Purpose' of 'Nature'. When you do sex, you are 'On Call' of the 'Nature' to 'Keep you species' in existent! (Opposite of Extinct)
Now, you tell me which one you choose or support? Are you in favor of keeping your ‘Hunan Species?’

u r so right! people are brought up to believe it is wrong so thats y so many people are against it. people need to be more open-minded, and accepting. homosexuality will never go away, so they need to just accept it.
