Anyone out there with expert advice, I am suppose to be nearly nine weeks pregnant, i did a pregnancy test and it was negative but five weeks before it was positive. i took the test five days before period was due and the test came up positive straight away and the line was very blue. i have had sickness but not every day, every few days, i have started to show and my breasts are swollen. I know this sounds odd but i am so confused, can anyone help?

Over the counter home pregnancy tests are not always 100% accurate. If you took a test and it was positive then I am wondering why you took another one. You can not have a miscarriage without bleeding. Call your obstetrician for an appointment. They may want to do some more tests to be sure.

I am not an expert, but i do know that the pregnancy tests, test for HCG, and its not unusal for these levels to drop the further you go on into your pregnancy, so its very possible that you are still pregnant. The best thing to do is go to the doctor, they can test you and tell you for sure and give you all the advice you need. Good luck.

You typically would not have a miscarriage without some bleeding as this would be the body taking care of itself. Pregnancy tests are not fool proof and can read negative when you are actually pregnant. Your best bet would be to go ahead and set up a doctor's appointment with your OBGYN just to make sure.

i would really go to your obgyn. they will have all the answers. you can have something called a chemical pregnancy, which basicly means that you are not pregnant at all and you had one positive test and one negative. also, check to make sure that you take both tests in the pack, not just one of them, one could be incorrect. i would just suggest going to the doctor, getting a blood test done. that's your most accurate way to find out what's going on with you. good luck !

ok dont mean to scare you and im hoping you havent miscarried but there is such a thing as a 'missed' miscarriage. I was 6 weeks pregnant when the foetus died but i continued carrying until 12 weeks, bleeding started at 11 weeks and this is when it was discovered through a scan. They told me i had my dates wrong but i knew that it was going terribly wrong and sure enough i miscarried the following week. I would contact your midwife/doctor first thing to see why you have got a negative result and hopefully they can get you in for a scan to check everything is as it should be. good luck and please dont worry xxxx

i can't give you an expert advice. but i think its best to have a blood test, so you will know 100% if you are pregnant. Maybe you should try another home pregnancy test?
Good luck and wish i could help more.

You are going to have to go to the Dr...if you were pregnant in the beginning and had a miscarriage...all the tissue has to expell itself so there is always bleeding. You should get a Dr's appointoment to confirm that you were pregnant and did miscarry...just incase it was a chemical pregnancy.
