Yes, sleeping with a pillow between your knees alleviates pain in your hips and lower back when you are farther along in your pregnancy. The farther along you get in pregnancy, the lower the baby drops into the birth canal, which means more spreading of your hips to allow more room for the baby and easier passage during delivery. It is much more comfortable to sleep on your side with your legs bent slightly at the knees with a pillow between your knees, it helps relieve stress on your back and hips during this time.

the reason you want to sleep with a pillow between your legs while you're pregnant is because it takes pressure off of your hips and lower back. no back pain means a happier you. yes, your hips do widen while you are pregnant, but that's not the reason for the pillow, there isn't anything, unfortunately you can do sometimes to prevent it.

Sleeping with a pillow between your legs is something that is done for comfort. It can take stress off of the hips and back.

Sleeping with a pillow just makes your hips level and more comfortable. It has nothing to do with them widening or not

Like the first person said, Only when i can't sleep. Also when it's extremely cold on both sides of the pillow. I actually did that last night since it got pushed up against my A/C.

It's true because she's starting to make room for her baby to live for some months and has to spread to actually give birth too and sleeping with your legs together could be painful. It could cause stretching too.
