Sounds like diarrohea. Get your pet some vet attention soonest. Have you changed its diet or the litter it sleeps in? Some scent-treated litters can really upset an animal's system. Or if they nibble on it, it can cause problems.
Get some professional attention.

Lots of grass hay like timothy, brome, orchard grass or oat hay. Give unlimited hay. Did you gradually switch from the old food to the new food? How long have you had the rabbit and how long has it been on the new food? A new rabbit in a new place may not eat a lot. I would give about 1/4 cup or less at a time and see if it does get eaten. Sometimes, if you give too much at a time, you can have a hard time determining if the rabbit is eating. There could be a medical reason for the rabbit not eating. The teeth (usually molars) could be overgrown causing pain and making the rabbit unable to eat. If you rabbit is not eating anything and not pooping, you need to take it to a rabbit savvy vet. A pellet free diet can be done, but it is hard. Your rabbit will need 4-5 (or more) different veggies every day to get the vitamins and minerals your rabbit needs. A pellet free diet is usually only done for rabbits that cannot have pellets due to medical problems.

Have you recently changed the food? (make sure if you change food that you mix old and new together for a while, and then start to do nothing but the new, as a total change can cause the runs).

Yes, rabbits have 2 diff kinds of poops, but this sounds like your rabbit has diarrhea. These two diff kinds don't happen at diff times, but they all are together. The kind they eat looks like a whole bunch of little balls together, like grapes.

I suggest...since it obviously isn't that bad, give extra hay at all times during the day, that should help if there just a little problem going on. Also be sure you are putting vitamins in the rabbits water. If it seems to get worse, then def go to the vet.

Above all else, before taking advice from here, call a pet store. They know about these things. It's not an emergency if you see a little bit of diarrhea, but it's a sign that you need to fix something quick before it becomes an emergency.

Your rabbit is not getting enough fiber. My bunny was having the same problem. This is what I did, with the advice of vet and it worked and now he has normal poo. First, you need to get timothy based pellets for your rabbit. I use timothy complete, its available at almost all pet stores. The alfalfa pellets are too high in protein, calcium and fat. You should only be feeding the rabbit 1/4 cup pellets every day per 3-6 pounds of rabbit. You need to lower the amount gradually, not all at once. The majority of the rabbit's diet needs to be timothy hay, you should allow it to have as much hay as it likes. A hay rack is a good investment as it will keep the hay snugly against the cage side and keep it off the floor. It may take a while for the bunny to get used to eating so much hay, but if it has too much pellets or treats, it will eat them instead of the hay. Also no carrots or veggies until the poo is back to normal. And this is only fatal if you let it go on for quite a while, but seeing as your other rabbit has recently died, I would suggest a vet visit just in case. Get a vet experienced in rabbits because some dog and cat antibiotics are toxic to bunnies and not all vets know that. Good luck!!

Sounds like a fibre problem, he's probably shedding as well. Give him lots of good quality hay, timothy of oaten is best, but even lucerne will do if you can't get anything else.

Fibre is vital to keep a rabbits digestive system in good working order. Hay should be available at all times and freshened up on a daily basis. When buying pellets look for a high fibre content and don't touch 'rabbit mixes'.

Dandelions and some fresh grasses won't go astray either, just check they're haven't been sprayed. My rabbits also love apple tree branches, rose clippings and willow. For constant chewing they get seagrass matts and willow baskets (all untreated).

It sounds like diahorrea, have you changed the Rabbits feed recently? Been feeding it too many greens? if you have been giving it lettuce (this contains too much water and shouldnt be fed to Rabbits) that can be a cause of it.
I recommend you feed the Rabbit its regular feed and stop any veg or fruit you might be giving it, until the problem has cleared. If it continues then i suggest a trip to the vets just for a check up to see that there isnt anything more sinister!

Good Luck XxX

it does sound like your rabbits tummy isn't quite right. give it pineapple juice. it settles the gut bacteria. rabbits do 2 sorts of poo anyway. the first ones they re-eat and the second sort are the pellets. it's important you don;t remove the first kind which are softer as this is all part of their digestion system. if it doen't clear up then take it to the vets.
hope this helps

You should definately take him to a vet. Anything that has to do with the GI track is serious. You can find a rabbit savvy vet at this website http://www.rabbit.org

I read that rabbits have a strange digestion system... where they digest their own poo - 1st time delivered ( they are soft) and then eat them and then excrete the poo a second time (hard ones).
Maybe this is what you are seeing?
